Open Enrollment

Paramount Unified School District is excited to offer open enrollment opportunities for families for the 25-26 school year. Open enrollment allows parents/guardians to apply for their child in grades TK-8 to potentially attend a different school outside of their designated attendance boundary or current assigned school, if the student is on permit. 

Important Dates: 

 

  • Open Enrollment Period: January 15 – February 28
  • Application Deadline: February 28
  • Notification of Acceptance: Week of April 28 
  • Confirmation of Acceptance: Within 10 days of notification of granted request 

Open enrollment is available to: 

  • Any current students who wish to transfer to a different school within the district 

How to Apply: 

  1. Complete the Online Application: Submit your application through Synergy ParentVue.  Click here to complete the Open Enrollment request and once in the ParentVue portal, click on “Open Enrollment Intradistrict Transfer 25-26” to complete your application (see picture below).
  2. Submit Before the Deadline: Applications received after the deadline will be moved to the intradistrict transfer request process. 

Selection Process: 
Applications are considered based on available space, program capacity, and district policies. If the number of applications exceeds available spots, a random lottery system may be used. 

Transportation: 
Families accepted through open enrollment are responsible for their child’s transportation to and from school.  The District does not provide transportation to families that choose open enrollment.
