The PHS Senior Campus was filled with energy on October 23 as students and families attended the annual College & Career Fair. The event brought together representatives from colleges, universities, technical schools, and career organizations to help students explore their future opportunities. With food trucks, music, and interactive booths, the evening offered a fun and engaging way to plan for college and career success—showcasing Paramount Unified School District’s commitment to preparing every student for the future.

Teachers, staff, and administrators across Paramount Unified participated in a districtwide Professional Development Day on Monday, October 13, focused on instructional growth, equity, and student success.

The Paramount High School Girls Varsity Volleyball team is having a standout season with a 5-2 league record and a push toward the playoffs. Led by six seniors, the Lady Pirates are determined to finish strong in their final three matches after making history last year with their first Co-League Championship since 1980. Their success reflects Paramount Unified’s mission to empower every student through teamwork, resilience, and growth.

The Pirates dove into their season opener yesterday against La Mirada, introducing 10 new players to the squad! Although the result didn’t swing our way, the Pirate spirit was alive and fierce — our team never quit and battled until the final whistle.
