Paramount High Hosts Special Olympics Unified Flag Football Tournament

Paramount High School proudly hosted the Special Olympics Unified Flag Football Tournament on October 10, 2025, bringing together athletes and cheer teams from six schools across Southern California in a spirited celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and unity.

Coordinated by teacher and coach Morgan Correa, the tournament welcomed athletes, families, and supporters to a morning of competition and community, joined by Board President Alicia Anderson and Superintendent Dr. Josh Lightle in support of this inspiring event.

As an officially designated Special Olympics Unified Champion School, Paramount High continues to lead in creating environments where students of all abilities and disabilities learn, play, and thrive together.

The day’s highlights included spirited cheerleading performances, mascot races, and three rounds of flag football showcasing teamwork and friendship at its best. Paramount Unified thanks all participating schools—Paramount, Warren, Mayfair, Locke, Downey, and El Rancho—for their outstanding sportsmanship and unified spirit.

Together, we celebrate inclusion, courage, and the power of coming together as one team.
