The Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is required to meet at least once per year. Paramount USD is planning two meetings for the 2017-18 school year.
The first meeting is to be scheduled for the end of February, and the second meeting by the end of June. The meetings will serve to provide details and updates on current facilities projects as well as providing information on prior bond initiatives.
By statute, the purpose of the citizens’ oversight committee shall be to inform the public concerning the expenditure of bond revenues. The citizens’ oversight committee shall actively review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers’ money for school construction. We expect to have information to report mid-year and finalize the formation of the committee, and we will work with the committee prior to the second meeting to meet all annual reporting requirements.
