South Gate, CA – June 6, 2025 — It was a day filled with pride, music, and memories as Hollydale School celebrated the promotion of its 8th grade Class of 2029. For many students, this final walk across campus marked the end of a journey that began in transitional kindergarten (TK)—years of growth, learning, and friendships all culminating in this special milestone.
The event began with a touching tribute as younger students lined the walkways, cheering on their older classmates and honoring the example they’ve set. The ceremony featured moving student speeches, a final performance by the Hollydale Mariachi (a bittersweet farewell for many 8th grade performers), and the calling of each graduate by name, celebrated with applause and heartfelt support from the community.
Families and friends gathered outside the gym to continue the celebration, taking photos at dedicated stations designed to capture the excitement and emotion of the day.
As the Class of 2029 prepares to begin high school, Hollydale staff and families send them off with pride, confidence, and heartfelt congratulations.
“We are so proud of all you’ve accomplished,” said school leaders. “You leave behind a legacy of leadership and Wildcat spirit. The future is bright—go forward and shine.”
