Paramount, CA – June 5, 2025** — On a picture-perfect evening under the lights of Paramount High School’s stadium, nearly 800 seniors from the Class of 2025 crossed the stage and stepped boldly into their future. The stands—overflowing with family, friends, and loved ones on both the home and visitor sides—echoed with cheers, pride, and celebration.
Hosted by Principal Elizabeth Salcido and her leadership team—including Assistant Principals Kristin Hamilton, Jill Hammond, Osiris Leyva-Pardo, Rafael Villaseñor, and Deans Tamara Calero Hill, Dawn Young, and Grace Yu—the ceremony honored not only a rite of passage but a class that exemplified perseverance, community, and excellence.
Principal Salcido highlighted the “competitive grit, balanced by good humor and joy in achievement” that has come to define the Class of 2025, noting memorable milestones such as the cheer team’s national championship and student victories on the field, court, and academic stage. ASB Class President Miguel Rojas welcomed the audience, and the program was elevated by student performances: Vanessa Gonzalez’s stirring rendition of the national anthem, a heartfelt musical tribute by the Paramount Singers led by Cameron McKay, and the classic processional and recessional performed by the PHS Marching Band under the direction of Angel Carmona.
In a celebration that mirrored their journey, the evening spotlighted remarkable student accomplishments. Two graduating seniors were named recipients of the nationally prestigious **Gates Millennium Scholarship** and **Dell Scholars Program**, which honor academic excellence and personal resolve. In total, **137 students graduated with honors**, and **83 earned high honors**, while countless others were recognized for their contributions to academic, athletic, and extracurricular life.
The night concluded with hearts lifted, as families gathered for photos, and joyful hugs—a proud and unforgettable sendoff for a class that has inspired their school, their families, and their entire community.
