Paramount, CA — May 30, 2025 — Paramount Unified School District is proud to announce that Mrs. Elizabeth Salcido will serve as the Principal of both Paramount High School – West Campus and Paramount High School – Senior Campus. This strategic decision marks an important first step toward the eventual reunification of the two campuses.
As part of the transition, ninth-grade students will continue to attend classes at the West Campus for the 2025–2026 school year however, some classes will necessitate crossing from one campus or the other. The District is actively exploring opportunities for physical reunification of all high school grade levels in future years as engagement with the school community is ongoing.
“Our goal is to strengthen continuity, equity, and alignment across both campuses to enhance the student experience and streamline academic support,” said Dr. Joshua Lightle, Superintendent for the Paramount Unified School District. “We are confident that Principal Salcido’s leadership will bring a cohesive vision to the entire Paramount High School community.”
Supporting this effort, the team of Assistant Principals and Deans will now serve across both campuses to provide consistent support and guidance to students and staff.
Mrs. Ebony Jordan, previously the Principal of Paramount High School – West Campus, will now lead the District’s Education Options programs as Principal of Buena Vista High School, Paramount Adult School, and the Paramount Adult Transition Program.
Paramount Unified School District remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and student-centered progress as these changes take effect in the 2025–2026 school year and more information related to unification will be provided as available.
