On May 22nd, Paramount High School honored the Class of 2025 in a moving celebration of academic excellence, community pride, and bright futures ahead. Hosted by Principal Ms. Salcido and the Paramount High School Administration Team, the evening brought together students, families, and staff for an inspiring tribute to achievement and resilience.
In attendance were Superintendent Dr. Joshua L. Lightle and Board of Education Members Alicia Anderson, Sonia DeLeon, and Diane Martinez, joining families and educators to support the graduating class.
The event spotlighted exceptional student accomplishments, including recipients of the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship and Dell Scholars Program—national awards that recognize outstanding academic performance and personal determination.
The celebration also honored local scholarship recipients whose success is made possible through the dedication of community organizations. In addition to the deeply meaningful Delores Stephens Memorial Scholarship, which was presented by her daughter, Paramount Assistant Principal Jill Hammond, students were also awarded the Randy Cantrell Memorial Scholarship and the Paramount Women’s Club Scholarship—each a powerful testament to the belief our community holds in the potential of Paramount’s youth.
In total, 137 students graduated with honors, and 83 earned high honors. The evening also included the presentation of the Valedictorian and Salutatorian, athletic recognitions, and acknowledgments of students who participated in the InclusFIT Special Olympics Unified Sports Program—part of what has made Paramount High a nationally recognized model of inclusive excellence.
The program was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of the Paramount High School Counseling Team, who supported the evening as presenters and emcees. Their leadership ensured each student was recognized with dignity and care.
After the formal ceremony, families gathered for refreshments, photo booths, and joyful celebration—a proud sendoff for a class that has inspired their school, their families, and their community.
