Hosted by Paramount Unified School District's Educational Services, the College and Career Fair at Paramount High School’s Senior Campus was a remarkable success, with invaluable support from counselors across West Campus, Odyssey STEM Academy, and Buena Vista High School. Visitors were warmly greeted by the Link Crew, and attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with food trucks, specialty dishes, and refreshments, as well as entertainment from a live DJ and a fun photo booth.
The event offered a range of breakout sessions, providing in-depth information and resources to help guide students in identifying areas of focus for their futures. Students had the unique opportunity to engage in face-to-face conversations with university representatives—individuals they had previously only encountered through brochures and websites.
Family attendance was strong, with parents, grandparents, and guardians walking alongside their children, learning together about the pathways available for future success. For many families, the event symbolized a moment of hope and pride, as they envisioned a future for their children that perhaps eluded earlier generations.
For some students, this fair marked the first time they could clearly imagine their future, seeing how college or career paths could be stepping stones toward their goals. It was an inspiring event that left families and students alike more confident in charting a path toward their dreams.
