Paramount Unified School District Welcomes New Administrators

Paramount Unified School District is excited to announce Rebecca Johns as the new Assistant Principal at Collins Elementary School!
With over 27 years of service in the district, Rebecca started as a counseling assistant and later taught at Collins Elementary. She then spent 23 years as a counselor at Paramount High School West Campus.
Known for her ability to inspire, guide, and advocate for all students, Rebecca is poised to bring the same dedication to her new role at Collins Elementary.
 
We also welcome Joseph Garcia as the new Special Education Program Administrator!
With 20 years of experience as a special education teacher, assistant principal, and coordinator, Joseph is recognized for his positive attitude, collaborative approach, and data-driven decisions centered on student success. Although new to the district, Joseph already considers Paramount his home.
 
Lastly, Paramount Unified School District welcomes Dr. Courtney Smith as a new Special Education Program Administrator!
Dr. Smith brings extensive experience as a speech-language pathologist and most recently served as a district program specialist. Her expertise spans early childhood education through high school. Known for her strong interpersonal skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to implement effective systems, Courtney is an excellent communicator and collaborator with a proven record of integrity and responsiveness toward students and parents.
