Student Board Members Begin Their Service

Two Paramount students were selected by the School Board from numerous applicants to serve as active student board members.

Students who wish to represent their high schools undergo a thorough selection process involving an application, an essay, transcripts, and letters of recommendation. They must also secure endorsements from their parents and school principal. Additionally, candidates are interviewed by the board of education. After this thorough process, the PUSD School Board unanimously chose seniors Olivia Pulido from Paramount High School and Kasey Hammons from Odyssey STEM Academy.  (See their profile by following this LINK)

Kasey and Olivia will not only update the board on campus events but will also participate in voting on motions and actions.

Miss Pulido and Miss Hammons will rotate their service at the dais, casting their votes on board items presented throughout the meeting.
