Paramount Unified School District Instructional Technology
A division of Educational Services, the office of Instructional Technology is the District hub for support, training and content creation for classroom technology and District media.

Instructional technology not only supports access to and training in our core District systems such as the Schoology LMS for parents, teachers, and students, but also guides and promotes the effective use of these tools in the classrooms.

The State Adopted Standards, the International Society for Technology in Education and SAMR are a few of the models that orients our work.

PUSD Instructional Technology’s work is rooted in focus area two of Paramount Unified’s strategic plan (High Quality Teaching and Learning), “Technology will be used as a tool to enhance and personalize instruction and improve learning.”

All students and teachers have access to the following tools:

1:1 take home Chromebook devices with telephone and in person support (hours may vary)

Classlink: a single website granting access to the numerous online learning tools and platforms available for teacher use during instruction including but not limited to Nearpod (interactive virtual lesson delivery) and CalSnap (online repository of vetted primary source materials presented by the Los Angeles County Office of Education).

Schoology: Learning management system hosting virtual classrooms where teachers can post assignments, assessments and communicate student progress. Parents can also use Schoology to stay up to date with school announcements and communicate with teachers.

Google Suite: Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, Meet, Calendar, etc. Students can use their student Google Accounts (@pusdschools.net) both online and offline for computing and collaboration needs as well as virtual meetings with teachers and staff.
