PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM POLICY   

ALL physical education students will be expected to purchase the school adopted uniform bearing the Paramount High P.E. logo.  The two piece uniform will be available for purchase during the first week of school and will be sold during this time for $20.00.  Shirts are $8.00 and Shorts are $12.00 (cash or money orders only – NO  CHECKS).  Any student enrolled in a physical education class must purchase this uniform as well as a combination lock for their gym locker.  Locks may be purchased through the P.E. office or students may bring a combination lock from home.


REPORT CARDS/PROGRESS REPORTS

A few parents have informed us that they do not receive their son / daughter’s report cards.  All report cards and progress reports are mailed home.  The report cards give you information regarding student academic progress, citizenship, grades, and attendance records.  We will be mailing the four report cards on the following dates: October 30, 2009; February 4, 2010; April 19, 2010; June 22, 2010. In between each grading period, progress reports are sent.  We will be mailing four progress reports by the following dates: October 2, 2009; December 11, 2009; March 16, 2010; May 24, 2010.



STANDARDS FOR WRITTEN WORK

Written assignments are to be completed in blue or black ink ONLY and in standard legible penmanship.  (Please Note Exceptions:  Math, Art, Drafting, and any drawings done.)


Written work is done on standard sized loose-leaf paper (white 8 ½ by 11) that is ruled, clean, and unfolded.  Spiral notebook paper is not acceptable (Unless used as a notebook for journals or note-taking).  Written assignments are to be word processed, typed, or written legibly.


Multiple pages will be stapled once in the upper left-hand corner.


Margins will be 1 inch to 1½ inches on all sides of the paper.


Heading must follow this format:

Period:

Date:

Assignment Title


Research or term papers are to be double-spaced and typed or word-processed and formatted according to the MLA Format.


Paragraphs are indented.  (Exception:  Business Courses)


All work is to be neat, legible, and proofread.


All work is to be the student’s own original work.
