Greetings PUSD Colleagues

 

We are pleased to welcome you live and in person, to each of our District schools and continue with the belief that the best instruction happens with our wonderful teachers teaching in our schools.

 

We recognize that you have done amazing work and want to thank the staff that has been working during these difficult times.  In addition, we recognize the teams that have been here every day during the pandemic as well as those colleague that have worked so hard from home or remote locations.

 

We have worked very hard to prepare a wonderful year for our students and I know that you have done the same!

We would like to inform you regarding a nationwide Tik Tok post that has begun to circulate.
 
The original Tik Tok post is general and not school specific, though it poses a nationwide school threat described to occur on December 17. In collaboration with PUSD, our School Resource Officer has been actively monitoring the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, LA County Sheriffs will have an increased presence at Paramount high schools’ tomorrow.
We will continue to monitor this and take the necessary safety measures in partnership with local law enforcement.
 
We encourage students to report suspicious activities, threats or disturbing information to a trusted adult, school administrator/staff member, or the police. It is very important that this information be shared with the school district and/or local law enforcement so it can be investigated. Again, we encourage our students to “Report – not Repost” if they see anything of concern on social media.
 
We appreciate your continued support of a safe learning environment for students. We all have a role in keeping our students and community safe, and we thank you for your attention to this issue.

If CSULB wants students to create a Microsoft Account, they should again enter their PUSD email address like above (which is, in fact, a Microsoft ID).
