The Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) is required to meet at least once per year. Paramount USD is planning on scheduling 2 meetings for the 2017-18 school year, in December-January, and again in May-June. The rationale is that currently no significant funds have been spent and there is very little to report for the purpose of the CBOC.
By statute, the purpose of the citizens’ oversight committee shall be to inform the public concerning the expenditure of bond revenues. The citizens’ oversight committee shall actively review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers’ money for school construction. We expect to have information to report mid-year and finalize the formation of the committee, and we will work with the committee prior to the second meeting to meet all annual reporting requirements.
